Step 1: Check If the Problem Is Everywhere or Just One Game

Open two or three completely different online games or services (a different game, a video call, a general web speed test) at roughly the same time you're experiencing lag. If everything gets worse at once — video calls stutter, other games lag too — the problem is almost certainly on your side: your connection, your Wi-Fi, or your router.
